Marquette Arts and Culture Center announces November Workshops Gallery Tours

On Tuesday, November 11 at 12:30 p.m., join Arts and Culture Manager, Tiina Harris, as she guides guests on a free tour of both the SmallWorks and the Main Gallery. All ages are welcome.
Japanese Tradition & Art for Children with Tomoko Inoue
On Wednesdays, November 5 through December 17, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
There is a $75.00 registration fee, which will include a field trip to Temaki & Tea on December 17.
Children are naturally curious. Encourage that curiosity with this Japanese Cultural class designed for children.  In this six-week series, children will learn basic Japanese words, how to eat with chopsticks, how to write their names in Japanese calligraphy, how to create beautiful shapes using origami, Japanese children’s songs and get to taste Japanese food.  The class will be taught by Tomoko Inoue who is originally from Kiryu, Japan. This class is intended for children second through sixth grade.
MFAK Open Mic
On Wednesday, November 17 at 7:00 p.m., MFAK will host an Open Mic for ages twenty-one years and younger.
Music for All Kids is a nonprofit organization devoted to the advancement and consistent support of youth ages five through eighteen through the learning, application, and instruction of music. MFAK is a self- sustaining system of education and enrichment that accesses music to foster healthy youth development, regardless of whether the child has the means to pay. Bring your acoustic instruments.
