Learning through internships

What do you want to be when you grow up?  Sometimes even adults don’t know the answer to that question, but 19-year-old GlenEllen Lehmberg has known the answer to that question for quite sometime now.

Lehmberg grew up in Marquette, graduating from Marquette Senior High School in 2015 and is a former member of 8-18 Media.  Lehmberg fondly remembers her days as a reporter for 8-18 Media and all the opportunities the youth journalism program brought her way.  As a reporter for 8-18 Media Lehmberg was able to travel to the National Political Conventions where she interviewed politicians and political figures about issues that affect youth.  Lehmberg said her favorite memory from her 8-18 Media days was interviewing her hero, journalist Lisa Ling.  Because of these experiences with 8-18 Media, she knew early on she wanted to major in communications at Michigan State University, where she just started her junior year this fall.  To help supplement her studies she set her sights on a summer internship that would complement her chosen career path…
